the brief.

Created for a web applications course at LMU in Fall 2023, Bookshelvd is designed as a 'Letterboxd for books'—a digital sanctuary for the ritual of reading and archiving personal libraries.

The application leverages the Google Books API to seamlessly fetch and curate literary metadata. Logged books are displayed in a clean, responsive grid that supports advanced sorting by date logged, original release date, user rating, and page length, providing a highly organized view of one's reading history.

The homepage is specifically designed to highlight personal curation, featuring a rotating selection of my favorite authors and their contributions to literature.
